All of the leathers we use are certified tanneries of the Leather Working Group, a global multi-stakeholder community committed to building a sustainable future with responsible leather through enforcing best practices and positive social and environmental change for responsible leather production.
A complete by-product of the food industry, traditionally the leftover skins of the ostrich legs surpassed the demand and were thus discarded. The skins from the legs were too small to use for most leather goods, however our tannery discovered a method of fusing the skins to create large panels, which are then able to be cut, creating less waste. This material was sourced in collaboration with The Sustainable Angle, a London-based non-profit organization founded to initiate and support projects which contribute to minimizing the environmental impact of the fashion industry.
