The new top-handle Picnic Safari is handcrafted individually by artisans in Tuscany using a traditional technique of covering a wooden form with leather, still remaining lightweight and practical. *A complete by-product of the food industry, traditionally the leftover skins of the ostrich legs surpassed the demand and were thus discarded. The skins from the legs were too small to use for most leather goods, however our tannery discovered a method of fusing the skins to create large panels, which are then able to be cut, creating less waste. This material was sourced in collaboration with The Sustainable Angle, a London-based non-profit organization founded to initiate and support projects which contribute to minimizing the environmental impact of the fashion industry.
