Our suede is tanned using innovative processes using -43% water consumption and -35% chemical consumption than traditional methods used prior to 2022.  The tannery is certified with ICEC TS SC 410 raw material traceability and SA8000 certification for Social Accountability.

This bag features Italian vegetable-tanned leather from Tuscany, with skins from farms in northern Europe tanned in Tuscany.  The tannery is a founding member of the Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium, using traditional methods using natural plant-derived dyes rather than harmful chemicals.
