Amber Venz Box co-founded LTK (formerly rewardStyle and LikeToKnowIt) in 2011 with her then-boyfriend now husband Baxter Box and turned it into a billion-dollar tech company allowing bloggers and influencers to earn commissions on their content.  A native Texan and mother of four, she and Baxter created The Local Chapter in 2017, a private retreat for the design-minded adventurer, alongside the border of Big Bend National Park and just 100 miles from Marfa, Texas.  She shares with us some of her favorite tips for visiting the area:

What three words would you use to describe the area?

Stunning, vast, perspective-setting

What is an insider tip or secret when visiting Marfa?

The town is only open Wednesday through Saturday; Wednesdays and Thursdays are local’s nights so try to come then!

Favourite spot for people-watching and style inspiration?

Margaret’s at 5PM on a Thursday night. It's a local crowd and the outfits are unique, creative but also very Marfa.

Favourite shopping spot?

Communitie has great hats and gifts, Raba has the BEST vintage denim, grab a “Marfa Lights” book at Wrong and then visit Esperanza for a gorgeous vintage quilt and leather fringe jacket.

Which ODP piece is a must on your packing list?

I can't stop wearing the fisherman sandals. They are so finely made, I can feel the difference on my feet. They are very on trend and go with everything.
